The experiment was a success. G.D. on the stand-up bass in our revamped acoustic set was a hit. Thanks to those who stopped into the Brainwash for a night of classics from The Famous (circa 2005) and Country music legends like Buck Owens and Junior Brown.
April will be a month of songwriting and wrapping up the final edit for the video of ‘Come Home to Me.’ We might have an impromptu show, but the next rock show on the books is set for May 14th at The Hemlock in SF. More details to come…
Also, it’s news just out of the rumor stage, but as baseball season begins we wanted to let The Cat out of the bag just a bit… and that’s not yet another Andres Galarraga, (pictured) reference for reference sake… but early word that The Famous may have a nice stage at a big event at AT&T Park in late-May. Much more to come on that too… and, btw – it was a blast to play our homage to Mr. 399, ‘El Gato Grande’ at the Brainwash.
So in the meantime, if you want The Famous to play our new acoustic set w/ ‘The Cat’ at your house party let us know… because G.D. is armed and ready on the big mouth bass.
