Pyramid Lake Fishing

“The CHP was gunning for me on the downside of Pyramid Lake,” is where ’50 Miles to Firebaugh’ gets going on the journey north from the Grapevine on I-5 to the town of Firebaugh in our new modern day trucker song to be featured on Ghost Town Parade.

Pyramid Lake is a relatively new creation on the drive out of L.A., created in 1972 and named after the pyramid rock formation carved out by the engineers who created the roadway we now know as the Grapevine.

Bass fishing at some of its best in Southern California is a big part of the recreation at Pyramid Lake.

If you don’t catch anything, the Iron Skillet isn’t too far down the road.
