Tout the Stout

As the season calls for all manner of stouts, we take Day 24 of ’50 Miles in 50 Days’ to spread the word about a beer brewed 250 miles or so from Firebaugh.

MendocinoThe Mendocino Brewing Company has for over three decades made a variety of quality craft beers in Northern California. In 1983 in Ukiah, they started making the noted Red Tail Ale.

More recently, the special seasonal release of an Oatmeal Stout has become a welcome addition to their entire collection. For those who like the Oatis line from Nikasi Brewing, this is certainly also worth picking up as a six pack.

We keep rolling toward the halfway mark of the journey as more beer talk, music and stories are ahead.
