It’s time to crank it up and get swanky — Friday, May 14 — at the Hemlock Tavern as The Famous play their only club date this month at an ultra-cool lounge, that’s one of SF’s best indie-underground venues. It’s high adrenaline, punk rock madness on a bill sure to delight.
The Famous mix their Classic County with a post-punk chaser, playing in support of ‘Disastroid’ (part Melvins, part Minutemen, part Queens of the Stone Age, essentially, ‘stoner rock for people with ADD’) — BTW, You’ve got to check out their amazing website with a playable arcade classic game.
Show starts at 9:30 p.m. — $7 Cover — 21+
‘The Gentlemen’ open at 9:30 p.m. — The Famous are in middle at 10:30 — and Disastroid headlines around 11:30.
(The Hemlock Tavern is located at 1131 Polk Street, in between Post & Sutter, one block east of Van Ness Ave., about 2 blocks north of the Great American Music Hall, in San Francisco’s Polk Gulch neighborhood.)
